Bernard CATHELIN Bernard CATHELIN est né le 20 Mai 1919 à Paris. Il y fut élève à l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs et à l'atelier de Maurice Brianchon. Depuis 1950, de nombreuse expositions personnelles et récompenses ont marqué la carrière de CATHELIN, en France, aux USA, au japon, en Suisse, au Canada, en Angleterre... "Pour obtenir un beau rouge, je l'applique par-dessus un autre rouge ; je le gratte pour faire apparaître le premier rouge, attends que cela sèche puis j'utilise encore un autre rouge... j'ai besoin de travailler une matière riche et épaisse". Tout comme il trouve son inspiration dans la lumière hivernale de Paris et dans sa Drôme natale, CATHELIN la trouve aussi dans ses nombreux séjours aux quatre coins du globe.

He finds his inspiration in the winter light of Paris, his birthplace - the Drôme in southern France -, and in his many journeys world-wide.
