Yann Arthus Bertrand

"La Terre vue du Ciel", un portrait aérien de notre planète en l'an 2000. Depuis 10 ans, Yann Arthus-Bertrand a entrepris de dresser un état de la planète en photographies aériennes. Un patient travail d'enquête mené tout autour du monde : 3000 heures de vols en hélicoptère, 76 pays visités pour un "état des lieux" qui ouvre des perspectives de réflexion quant à l'évolution de la planète et au devenir de ses habitants. Un constat en images, un outil de travail, un témoignage pour les générations futures. Le livre "La Terre vue du ciel" est paru aux Editions de La Martinière.

"Earth from above" is an aerial portrait of planet earth in 2000. For 10 years, Yann Arthus-Bertrand has been taking aerial photographs of our planet. It has been a laborious job which has entailed reporting all around the world : 3000 hours on board helicopters, visiting 76 countries- all of which leads to reflection as to the evolution of our planet and the future of its inhabitants.
